When i put the car in drive and go to take off it take a while for me to get any speed rpms will get up to 6000 before it starts to role and then when it does get in to second gear it does the same thing, at about 22 mph it shifts into 3rd and drives fine from then on What could the problem be?????

have a transmission shop scan the car for codes and check for worn clutch plates
