1998 Mazda 626 water pump bleed or prime, air bubble

Car has been overheating when driven afew miles. Replaced water pump, thermostat, had radiator cleaned and flushed. Read your answers on overheating and suspected radiator plugged. Shop told me that radiator cleaned. Maybe have a bubble in system, need to bleed or prime water pump. Did not know I had to when installed pump. How do I bleed or prime water pump?

If you run the car with the radiator cap off until the cooling fans comes on and the heater is hot, this will normally bleed any air out of the system, better still if you can do this with the radiator cat slightly higher than the rest of the cooling system, this will allow air to work its way out, always re check the cooling system the next day, as you may find that the level has dropped a bit more as air can still be trapped and slowly works it way to the top.
