Hi,
We gave a Madza 626, it runs great but it has something going on with the transmission. It will go forward and reverse but seems to hestitate. Has no power. We have not taken it in to have it checked. Driving home and lost power and just parked it. Does the transmission need to be rebuilt? What does that usually run?
Thanks for any advice.

If the transmission is not slipping-see below:

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below:

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it.
