1998 Mazda 626 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

What is the difference between the auto trannys in a 97 to a 98? can I make the 97 work and how? what to change? thanks

The 2 years that concern you rune the identical 3 variants of transmissions, FB4A-EL GF4A-EL & LA4A-EL

The transmission with the identical code will be om, the others run different electrical packages and the compatibility with the cars electrics may be compromised due to a different ECU. i would check with a Mazda dealer for final conformation on using a different series transmission.
