1998 Mazda 626 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

engine light comes on when driving and stay on. take it to mechanic they said its gst cap loose , they tighten the cap. drove it, after 4 days engine light comes on again. what could be causin this problem.

The first thing to do is get a scan done and see what the set fault codes are, the codes will be an indication as to where the problem lies, start here.
