Transmission problem
1998 Mazda 626 167000 miles

Hi Guys,

Hope you can help, as the AA has helped my sick 626 to the local garage, it seems that my clutch pedal has been weakened with age (it now hangs at an angle). just a quick question, how much do you think it would cost for the clutch pedal to be reattached?

The AA guy said that the clutch felt fine.

thanks

Hi there,

This will depend on the cause of the problem, if the pedal box has cracked and bent, this will be a fairly major undertaking, if a clip that retains the pedal pivot has failed, this will be fairly simple, a look under the dash will reveal the extent of the damage.
