I have a 1998 Mazda 626 with 107,00 miles, and everytime I start it up there is this loud squealing noise. i think its from the belt, maybe its to tight or to loose? The nosie stops after I give it a little gas. Would i be able to adjust the tension of the belt myself? Or do i need to take it to a shop.

You can do it yourself to save money. You have two belts. Adjustment for the front belt is by the alternator. Loosen lock bolt and tighten the adjustment bolt. Once the correct tension is met, tighten the lock bolt. Similar operation for the power steering belt.
