I HAD EVERYTHING THING YOU CAN IMAGINED REPLACED ON THIS CAR, HEADS, TRANNY, EXHAUST, MOUNTS, ALL SENSORS , ETC. THE PROBLEM IM HAVING IS THAT WHEN IN PARK THE CAR VIBRATES HEAVY, BUT WHEN I ACCELERATE ITS FINE UNTIL I COME TO A RED LIGHT OR A COMPLETE STOP THEN IT STARTS TO VIBRATE VERY HEAVY, NOW I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP TO GET AN EXPLANATION THEY TOLD ME IT COULD BE THE TORQUE CONVERTER, THEN I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP THEY TOLD ME ALSO IT COULD BE THE TORQUE CONVERTER, I TOOK IT BACK TO THE TRANNY SHOP THEY REBUILT THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND REPLACED THE RCI BUT IM STILL HAVING THIS HEAVY VIBRATION. CAN ANYONE SHINE SOME LIGHT ON THIS MATTER IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

What to check next

Diagnostic guidance. Suggested checks and possible repairs are separate from the owner's reported results.

Have actual idle speed, engine running quality and mount condition and installation assessed before further transmission work. Use the correct specifications instead of raising idle to mask the complaint.

2CarPros editorial correction - October 12, 2026

The earlier suggestion to increase idle speed in Drive or use Neutral as a repair has been withdrawn. Have the vibration diagnosed, including actual idle speed, engine running quality and the condition and installation of the mounts, using the correct vehicle specifications. Do not adjust idle controls to mask an unidentified fault. Another owner's similar symptom does not establish the cause, and no successful repair was reported for the original Mazda.
