The button on the side of the gear shift is stuck. Usually I have to depress the brake, press the side of the gear locator, and pull the gear locator into the reverse position. The button is stuck and locked. I cannot push the button in to move the locator. Please help me!!

Hi michelle1119,

Check if the brake lights are working when you press the brake pedal.

If they are not working, you would not be able to shift out of park, except with manually releasing of the shift lock.

Check for a blown brake fuse or faulty brake switch.
