We couldn't get the Mazda 626 out of the park position yesterday. Had to use the lock shift over ride to put it in neutral to crank. Next thing we noticed was that the brake lights didn't work and neither did the horn. We replaced a size 20 fuse and all systems were go. Today the fuse blew again. Any troubleshooting suggestions?

Hi mamascarr,

Try putting a new fuse and operate the brake pedal a few times and see if the fuse blows. If not try again with the horn.

If the fuse don't blow now, it might be some bare wires touching the body. This type of problems always gives mechanics headaches.

Good luck, hope it is only a defective bulb socket.
