My clutch seems to be going out on my car. While driving I was trying to shift and my pedal stayed on the floor. When i came to a stop the car died as if the clutch was not pressed at all. I was later able to drive the car with no shoes so i could grip the pedal with my toes to make sure it would come back up. Could it just be a cable or something? Thanks

the clutch pressure plate probably is worn. they wear out much like brake pads do (of course they last much longer though). first check clutch fluid to make sure it's full.
