I have a 93 mazda 626 V6. I get white smoke from the tailpipe... it doesnt smell like coolant. It smells strongly of exhaust. and when I hit the gas in park its a huge cloud of smoke. I am not positive but I think it dwindles upon warm up. But doesnt go completely away. What is the cause and fix of this... AND will it cause me to fail smog test in CA?

first of all yes it will fail a smog test.

first of all have you noticed a drop in the coolant level?

if possible have the cooling system pressure tested and the cylinders compression tested.

you may have excess water in the gas also from bad gas.
