I have lost my speedometer/odometer and cruise control. I replaced my VSS and tested it. It has fluctuating voltage when you spin the wheel. All other guages work fine. It may be a coincidnece but I installed a new stereo and new battery prior to the guages going out. If the guage itself is bad would this cause the cruise not to function.

Thanks

yep, the speedo has to work for the cruise to work.

there are 3 wires for the speedo.
pin 1B has a red-black wire that goes to the VSS

pin 1F has a orange-black (or possibly gray-blue) wire that goes to the VSS

pin 1H has a green-red wire that goes to the cruise control, the computer, and the traction control.

since you do not have a speedo, check the first two wires. you may have damaged them, or pulled on them and something got unplugged when you put in your radio.

good luck.
