1989 Mazda 626 locks

I have a question about my car. On the driver side, the lock will not pull up & on the passenger side, the lock will not open.

Hi Phanh08,

If the lock cannot be pulled up, something is jamming it up, you need to remove the door panel to find out.

Does using the key works on the locks on both sides?

No, the key does not work either. I can fit the key in & twist it in the hole but the lock does not pop. It does not even jiggle. I was reading other advices for people w/lock problems & there was one advice about using a slim jim. I will find someone w/a slim jim (as I am cheap & refuse to get overcharged by a locksmith). Wish me luck. Thank you for all your help =)

Good luck.

If you got a long metal ruler, you can try pushing it around into the lock area from the door glass and the lock might pop up ;)
