I have a 1986 Mazda 626 Fuel injection. It was difficult to start up, the starter was slow until the engine started. I figured it was the battery since the starter was new. Charged up the battery and all was better, for awhile. After the car ran for awhile, it was again hard to start, the starter was slow to crank. So I figured the battery was getting charged. So I got it start again then I removed the positive terminal from the battery and the car died. I did they many times and the car died each time. When this happened on other vehicles it's been the alternator or regulator. So I removed the alternator/regulator (they are one unit) and took it it to have it checked. They checked it twice and it was good both times.
Now I am lost. What am I missing?
