2004 Mazda 6 Car sputtering

I have a problem, my Mazda seems to sputter when I drive up a hill almost like a lag. And sometimes when I am at a red light the rpms will drop up and down. Like it is is idling funny.

I have changed the spark plugs, and tried better gas, and gas treatment. Do you have any ideas of what it may be. Thanks for your help.

If it is past due for a full tune up (plug wires, fluids, filters etc..) then I would recommend starting here.

If the idle is still revving up and down afterwards, you may want to consider checking the IAC valve (Idle Air Control Valve). This is located on the throttle body. It will cause the idle speed to fluctuate when it goes bad.
