Transmission problem
2003 Mazda 6 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I'm in the middle of replacing the clutch on my Mazda 6. I have the transmission unbolted but it seems like there is no way to get it out. Is it possible to take it out without removing the engine?

Hi barabanschik, Thank you for the donation. It is not necessary to remove the engine assy but the lower cross member has to be removed. Remove steering gear and linkages, and pipe assembly installation bolts from front cross member, then suspend the steering gear and linkage with a cable. Here is a diagram showing the sequence of removal.
