I'm test driving a used model to possibly purchase and my mechanic questioned the slight hesitation he observed between first and second gears on the automatic. He wondered if the manufacturer designed it this way to be easier on the transmission or if it indicates a fault in the transmission. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Sounds more like a problem with the transmission when all the parameter sensors that inputs signal to the computer are doing its job is how to command and control the tranny
