while idling at engine temperature, I'm experiencing lifter tick coming from #1 and 4 cylinders what are the possible causes?

If the noise are from the valve lifters, possible causes are :
1. Excessive valve clearance.
2. Abnormal wear on the camlobes.

You would need to remove thge valve cover to inspect the camshaft lobes and measure the valve clearance.
