I need help. My Mazda is Mazda MPV 2000 LW5W series imported fom Japan.
My check engine came on. I bought an OBD2 16 pin Bluetooth diagnostic but Mazda Mpv is 17 pin.

Bought a 17pin to 16pin obd2 connecter but it's not reading.

Am sure that my Mazda MPV 2000 is OBD2 compliant after connecting to a specialised 17 pin to 16 pin converter as I had sent to my local mechanic and they had read my ECU before.

The problem is I had bought an OBD2 bluetooth reader and a common market mazda 17 pin to 16 pin OBD2 connector and its not reading.

Maybe the converter cable isn’t matching my Mazda MPV pin connections.
Now how I wish only if someone could assist me in advising the schematic which 17pins connections to connect to 16 pin OBD2 to make it work.

I have found the Mazda Positive (pin 1) and Negative (pin 11) to match the corresponding pins at 16 pin OBD2 pins.

Now am confused which Mazda FEN (Pin 4), MEN (Pin 3) or TEN (Pin 2) should connect to which corresponding pins at OBD2 16 pins?

Wondering what the conversion schematics fom 17 pin to 16 pin would be.

If you check under dash, there is most probably another 16pin ODB II connector Most Japanese makes uses 2 or more diagnostic connectors around year 2000

Engine compartment would have the 17 pin connector. OBD II (16 pin) is under the dash.

I have checked it as well. There's no OBD2.
That's why I was asking for the schematic pin conversion to read it.

I have been trying to load this picture, 1 of 2 and it does not seem to be working correctly.

Check the schematic to see if you can come up with anything.
