Check engine and traction control lights came on and my truck would “jump into 2nd gear. Air intake code came up so I replaced mass airflow sensor. Truck no longer jumped but check engine and traction control lights stayed on. New code says it’s the air intake temperature sensor. Truck runs fine. Just the check engine and traction control lights are still on as well as air temperature code. I got the MAF from O'reilly auto parts and went for the cheapest one. Could it hopefully just be cheap parts or something more sinister? I’m not a mechanic but replacing MAF is simple enough to do myself. Thanks.

It sounds like the sensor is no good because the air temperature sensor is inside the MAF sensor. I would make sure it is installed correctly and if so get an ACDelco unit from Amazon or Rock Auto. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thank you! I put in MAF myself, with my 13 speed KW mechanic watching me, and all lights back to normal. Thank you! Best to buy the correct part/manufacturers item than going cheap route.
