Check engine light was on and the code was for mass airflow we sensor. I replaced it and disconnected battery to turn light off. Then drove over 70 miles. No lights came back on but was that enough driving to make sure the engine light will stay off and the code clear?

Depending on what the code was it may require the adaptives to learn again before it will set the code again. When you disconnect the battery it wipes all the memory in the modules and a lot of codes will not set until it relearns the vital data. This usually takes multiple drive cycles, meaning it needs to run up to operating temp and then go through a shift sequence multiple times in a row.

In short, this is probably not enough driving if it is one of these codes.
