Does Toyota Mark X first generation and the second generation have the same body or they differ from each other? Can the body and engine of Mark X model 2014 be swapped on Mark X model 2005.

Not without completely rebuilding the entire chassis from the ground up. They are entirely different. There is no "frame" as they are unit-body based. The body, and chassis are one piece and the engine cradle bolts to it as does the rear suspension. There is no real way to swap them as you would need all of the 2014 wiring, instrument panel, fuel system, exhaust system and many more parts.

I already own a Mark X model 2005. And now I am going to buy a Mark X model 2014. But I want to keep the licence plate same as it means a lot to me, so for that I need to the keep the same chassis and engine block on which the numbers are embossed. Is it possible to swap all the the things from model 2014 to 2005 as I have got every thing like wiring, instrument panel, etc?
