Manual window crank issue

Can someone please help me? The driver's side front window broke so I had to replace the window. The cables came undone and now I can't thread the cables to the manual hand crank.
Please can anyone explain the process? Which way does the top cable turn and which way does the bottom cable turn?

Good morning,

I have never been able to rewind the cable and reset it with the manual windows.

I would replace the regulator to prevent any further problems.
