Howling noise when i stop

When driving and when I stop it makes howling noise and get a funny smell.

Most likely, one of the drive belts is dragging due to a belt driven accessory. Could you compare the smell to plastic or rubber burning? Also, can you record the sound and upload it for me to hear?

In the interim, what I suggest is this. With the engine running, open the hood and see if the sound seems to come from the belt area or if there is any smoke from the belt. If you don't see anything, try pouring a small amount of water on the belt while it is making noise. If the sound changes pitch, either the belt is loose or something is starting to lock up.

Make sure to protect your eyes and clothing if you try the water trick. Water will fling around.

Do this and let me know what you find.
