Hi, Today I backed my car out from my parking spot and put it drive. The engine started lurching when I went forward like it was struggling. The check engine light came on. I parked again and got back in about 10 minutes later. The check engine light was off, and it didn't lurch again. Should I take it in to a shop now or wait and see if the problem happens again?

It sounds like the engine is misfiring, also if the check engine light came on it should have stored the trouble code which can confirm the misfire issue. You should do regular maintenance to keep the car running correctly. Here are two guides that can help, also if the car does it again can you upload a short video of the problem so I can see what's going on? You may have gotten some bad gas and it might be okay from here on out.
