Need to lower passenger side of my car's engine just about two or three inches lower so I can remove crankshaft pulley. Not enough room to wiggle it out. Another option is to remove the crankshaft center bolt, but I cannot find a pulley holding tool at Autozone, Kragen or Sears. Do I have to remove all the mounts just to lower the passenger side three inches? Or any suggestion I can do much easier than lowering the passenger side engine. I am replacing the water pump, I have to remove the timing cover to do it, but the timing cover wont pull off without removing the crankshaft pulley.

It might be easier to just lower the whole engine cradle out from the car which is how the mechanics at the dealership do it.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.
