I have had both sensors replaced. Took it to a GM dealer who said it was fixed but picked it up and it is still on. The oil level is fine, the oil has been changed and the dealer claims it’s okay to drive. Why won’t this light go away? Sometimes it comes on when I start then when I take it back to dealer it doesn’t come on.

Hi,

Since it happens on and off, chances are it is a connection issue. Do me a favor. Look under the vehicle. On the side of the oil pan, you will see the level switch. Disconnect it and inspect the connectors. Make sure they are clean, not damaged or corroded, and the connector fits tightly on the switch.

I attached a pic below showing the switch location. Start with this and let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
