Low Heat - heater blows cool?

The heater blows cool air unless the temp is set to maximum. I intended to perform a heater core flush at home, but I'm having trouble identifying the heater core in the engine bay.

I believe its the silver hose assembly in the image. Can I attach a hose to the 90deg fittings on either side and flush both cores at once?

Yes, those are the hater hoses that can be used to flush the core out, if the cooling system is just a little low you will have this issue, also, you can have air stuck inside the core, I would wait until the engine is cold. Then open the radiator reservoir, make sure it is topped off, then jack the front of the car up and start the engine and turn the heat on full, this should help you get he air out of the heater core. I would do this after the heater core flush which is common due to the fine tubes inside the core. Also, this guide can help as well

At the dealer they have a special machine that vacuums the air out of the system FYI. Please upload a short video in your response of the problem, so I can see what's going on :)
