Low power can be the result of many different things. Issues which involve a plugged catalytic converter, low fuel pressure, low engine compression and the list goes on. In this case, the best thing to start with is checking for engine trouble codes. If the check engine light is on, start there. Here is a video of how it is done:

Do this and let me know what you find. I will keep a look out for your reply. Also, I am not sure where you are located, but often times parts stores will scan the computer for you for free. Just make sure to write down any codes they tell you are present.
