Low coolant light

Use a volt-ohm meter to check continuity between the sensor and ECM, then check to ensure the sensor has voltage.

Do you know what wire(or is it the same color) it is at the ECM? also is the ECM above the transmisson?

Just to add to this one if you jumped the connector to the bottle and it's still on?I would see if the back up fuse is blown in the underhood fuse box?The first one I saw like that I was puzzled also but found out there was a blown back up fuse.

SaturnTech9; I checked the fuse and sure enough it was blown. I haven't had the chance to replace it and test, but I am SO THANKFUL for your insight into this.

Yeah I worked for Saturn as a tech for over 16yrs so I have a lot of insight on things on these cars most people wouldn't have.I Still have a Saturn I have a 1999 Saturn sl2 I love the S model Saturn's.Let me know what you find you probably have a bad back up light bulb.That blew the fuse.

The fuse was blown, put in another one it blew, messed with the wires, not sure what I did but now the fuse is fine, jumpered the connector to backup light switch and turns out the switch is bad. I ordered it and we will see how it works after I get that put in.

Yeah it's common for those manual transmission back up switches to go bad.I have never seen one go bad and blow the fuse.

Ok, the end result was the backup light switch was bad. I ordered one, once I put it in, the backup lights work, and the low coolant light is no longer on. You ROCK! Thanks so much.
