Driver side low beam headlight went out. Connector was cracked and burnt so I replaced it. Cut the wires and tied them together with caps and electrical tape. Replaced bulb also. Now the light beam shines toward the ground about fifteen feet in front of the car. Had several people and some mechanics look into it. Cannot figure out why. I have replaced this same headlight bulb last year but it worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning.

In most of the cases such as yours, it is because the headlight is not mounted correctly in the capsule. It has to go in and seat all the way around or it will aim the wrong way.

Re check the installation of the bulb.

Thanks. It is in straight because the headlight has a capsule that surrounds the bulb, so it has to fit straight to go in.

Can you post a picture of the headlight assembly?
