Recently I have had a loud squeaking noise coming from under the car. It’s not the belts or anything I check those, it doesn’t happen when idling. It only happen when going accelerating and reversing. I have looked under the car and couldn’t find any rubbing or clear signs of metals scratching anywhere. I don’t want to take it to a mechanic if it’s something I can fix on my own.

Hey TYLER_SCHAFFER,

Does it happen at low speeds on flat ground?
Or is is only when accelerating/over bumps?

If so can you get someone to walk beside the vehicle to identify which wheel/area the noise is coming from that will be a good start.

If it is only over bumps can you reproduce the noise by pressing down on each corner of the vehicle to compress the suspension?

If you can upload a video that will also help us point you in the right direction.

Regards, Joe
