Clutch replaced by mechanic less than 1000 miles, 6 months ago. Now when clutch pedal is depressed all is fine until the last 1inch before the floor. At that point there is a loud grinding scraping noise. The clutch pedal can be depressed until the truck is free wheeling and coasting, but if you press it the last inch to the floor, it makes a horrible grinding scraping noise. Please advise and explain why. I suspect the trrow out bearing. Thankss. Mike

WITH IT GIVING YOU NO PROBLEMS FOR A 1000 MILES (ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR OR NOT)

MY BEST GUESS IS THAT MAYBE ONE OR MORE OF THE CLUTCH COVER (PRESSURE PLATE) BOLTS MAY BE WORKING IT'S WAY LOOSE OR MAYBE EVEN HAS FALLEN OUT

PRESSING THE PEDAL PART WAY DOWN MAY DISENGAGE THE CLUTCH PLATE SO YOU CAN SHIFT GEARS

PUSHING IT ALL THE WAY MAY BE "LIFTING" THE LOOSE SIDE OFF OF THE FLYWHEEL AND THE LOOSE PRESSURE PLATE MAY BE RUBBING/ SMACKING THE BELL HOUSING AS THE FLYWHEEL ROTATES

IF THERE IS SOME KIND OF INSPECTION COVER, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO VERIFY THIS YOURSELF

I WOULD HOPE YOU GOT SOME SORTA WARRANTY ON THIS WORK AND THEY WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE

I WOULD GET IT CHECKED OUT SOON, AS YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY ADDITIONAL PARTS. CONTINUING TO "KNOWINGLY" DAMAGE IT MORE, MIGHT VOID THE WARRANTY

RETURN WITH THE REST OF THE STORY.
