Loud knocking sound and engine shuts off when transmission is shifted into drive

Can you get a recording of this noise? Clearly just hearing this info, I suspect you have an engine knock which is most likely due to a spun bearing. In which case you will need to rebuild or replace the engine.

So let's get a recording of it so that we can get on the same page. Then can you raise the RPM in the video so that we can hear if the noise changes when you accelerate?
