lost first second and drive gears in the transmission

I was driving gave it gas to get into traffic and it felt like it slipped into neutral. I have reverse but nothing else.

if check engine light is on scan for codes. check fluid level if you can as a lot of cars have no provision for that. then have a transmission professional look at it. probably in need of a rebuild.
