Idles fine, no check engine light or codes. Shift transmission into gear and top speed is 30, no power. Removed cat same results all plugs are good. I'm am feeling like it is a valve issue.

Hi,

If there was an issue with a valve, it would likely set a misfire code.

Also, when you reach 30 MPH, are the engine RPMs in line with the speed? For example, at 30 MPH, are the RPMs around 2,000, or are they extremely high? Is the transmission shifting?

Have you checked fuel pressure?

Let me know. Also, if you could record it and upload it so I can hear what it is doing, it may help.

Take care,

Joe

RPMs are not in line with speed transmission does shift but it hesitates (I would assume because of speed) have not checked fuel pressure. Would fuel pressure change that much from idol to in gear have to be what seems full RPMs when in park but no power in gear. The only code in computer is ABS speed sensor.

Hi,

Fuel pressure can cause it because there is an extra load on the engine requiring more fuel. However, what code is stored for the ABS? If we are getting an incorrect speed reading, it may be causing the transmission to operate erratically.

Let me know.
