Losing power when accelerating

Whenever I drive my car for the first couple miles it’ll be fine, then it suddenly loses power like I can’t accelerate. But if I let my foot off the gas and press it back it’ll stop, and it won’t happen again unless I cut the car off. I was going to change the fuel filter and see if that helps, but I don’t know a lot about cars, so I wanted to ask your opinion on it.

This is normal when the car goes into limp mode which is usually caused by a dirty throttle body. Here is a guide that can explain it better and an additional guide to show you how to fix it yourself:
