Bought this vehicle in rough shape. I replaced the fuel pump, carburetor, radiator, fuel filter, spark plugs, and radiator lines. Also dropped the gas tank and emptied it and put only non ethanol gas. Besides that mostly cosmetics.

I haven’t driven it that much and when I have kept it mostly in third gear around 35 mph. Yesterday drove the vehicle and when it gets in fourth gear and your going about 50 mph it starts turning off. Push the gas pedal and nothing happens, power steering goes away. Sometimes you can drop back into 3rd and you’re fine, but if you stay in fourth it will coast to a stop.

Ever tune it up recently? This may help, ask questions if need be! Got the timing dead on?

If the timing is having problems we will concentrate on getting it right.

Do you have a bunch of non-OE parts installed?

Can you remove the breather, lay the hood back on the windshield frame and take good, well lit pictures on the left side, right side, and overhead of the engine.

See if this may be a possibility?

See pictures below.
