The key lock cylinder needed replacing. I bought one part # 69057-34040. When I put the cylinder in with the key, I can turn the key but cannot get the key out without removing the cylinder

PS. I have already removed the old one and have purchase another. please watch the video.
Thank you, Suzette

Hi,

I believe the ignition switch has to be in the accessory position when you install the new key lock cylinder. Here is what I'm seeing:

2. If necessary, replace key cylinder.
a. Place the ignition key at the ACC position.
b. Push down the stop pin with a screwdriver, and pull out the cylinder.
c. install a new cylinder.

The vague directions lead me to believe it has to be in the ACC position for install. Is that what you are doing?

Let me know.

Take care and God bless,

Joe
