Key lock cylinder Replacement?

2001 TOYOTA SEQUOIA
18,900 MILES • 4.7L • V8 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

The key lock cylinder needed replacing. I bought one part # 69057-34040. When I put the cylinder in with the key, I can turn the key but cannot get the key out without removing the cylinder.
