code u0101, I need the location of TCM

I assume you are talking about the BCM fuse 5? If so, we need to address that separately because that not related to the TCM. That is an interior lighting system. Let me know if that is the correct fuse.

As for the code, we need to run through this testing that is attached. The TCM is part of the valve body inside the transmission pan.

Let me know what you find with this and what other info you need.

I did not give all the info (didnt expect o get real help so thank you!)
have po1682 coming up each time we put the code reader on it. Then the #5 fuse under the hood next to the ecm blows repeatedly
has u0101 cannot communicate with TCM.
replaced battery 3 days ago and had to replace that new one yesterday because it was not getting any higher than 12 volts. so I was either given the wrong battery the first time or it was faulty . The battery in it now is a Super Start Platinum group size 94R H7 CCA 800
CA 920
12 Volt
The battery i think was faulty -Super Start Extreme Group Size 94R H7
CCA 790
CA 970

also every time the #5 fuse goes the car shows in the message center "reduced engine power" until we put a new 15 amp fuse in it.

Okay. Thanks for that info. Can you look at that wiring diagram and tell me if that is the fuse that is blowing? Maybe get a picture of the location if you want to. The reason I ask is the fuse I pointed as Fuse 5 is a 25 Amp fuse not a 15 so that may explain why it is blowing.

Wrong fuse box location. It is the # 5 engine control module fuse located in the fuse box under the hood.it is a 15. I guess I wasn't real clear on that important fact. sorry

Okay. That helps but I should have figured that as it makes more sense. Is this the fuse that you are referring too? See attached. If it is then that feeds to the ECM directly which means that the ECM is most likely the short causing the failure.

However, before you replace an ECM, how often does the fuse blow? If it is pretty easy to get it to do it, I thinking you should try something. This voltage feed is for the ignition control for the ECM. I am wondering if we have a coil back feeding through the circuit and the 15 amp fuse is blowing prior to the circuit board on the ECM.

If this happens easily can you unhook each coil one at a time and then see if the fuse blows? Clearly you are going to introduce a misfire but if the fuse doesn't blow like normal with one of the coils unhooked, you may have an issue with that coil.
