Where is Shifter Linkage located?

No power to car. Starter is notworking. Battery is drained. Need to have a wrecker take to shop to repair. Where is the shifter linkage? Up top or down below please?

Hi,

The shift linkage is a cable that runs from the transmission to the steering column. I attached pics below showing it at the transmission and at the steering column. If you have a floor shift, it's the same design, but the cable runs from the floor shifter.

If you are trying to get the shifter in neutral to move it, there is a release button near the shifter. If you lift the trim on where the shifter is located, you will see a small pin. Depress it and shift.

Pics 1 and 2 are of the cable. Pic 3 shows the release.
