Where is the TCM located?

I am trying to find the TCM, I looked on the picture but there/not even in the engine compartment, there is no TCM under the battery not even in the steering column compartment. I tried to look next to the shock absorber mounting as what in the picture nothing. Where is it?

It appears the TCM on this engine is under the dash on the driver's side.

It does say that it is in the engine compartment but that is misleading as the repair process says to access from under the dash.

Please take a look at the info attached on this and let me know if you need more info.
