I'm trying to replace the main fusible link that connects from the alternator to the battery. In wiring diagrams it shows it is a 12 gauge wire. Toyota shows it to be a white box located in the fusebox. Could someone help me figure out which is the right part? Thanks. Any pictures or diagrams would be very helpful. Thanks!

These fusible links are normally always next to the battery so I would follow the positive battery cable from the battery over to the fuse box and you will find it. They may be taped up so they are not easily visible.

However, a fusible link is simple a smaller gauge wire that is put inline a large gauge wire. This way if there is too much current, the smaller gauge wire will burn up and fail first which will prevent any damage to other components.

You are correct that this link is a 12 gauge wire and it should be white. You can get replacement links in bulk backs that you can see in the background of this photo.

Please let us know if you have other questions. Thanks

Looks like it was a white cassette like case in the relay with some fuses connected to the cables. One fuse blew. It took 6 hours to fish it out without breaking a plastic clip on the relay box to open it up but it worked! Appreciate the help!
