Loud noise spins the rear tire?

When I drive my car, it makes a sound like when you go get your car smog and then put it on that machine that spins the tire. What is wrong with my car?

These vehicles had a problem with the parking brake shoes digging into the rear brake rotor which can make a loud sound. Here is a video of the job being done so you can check it out and the instructions for the replacement in the image below as well:
