Hi,
There is a chance the heater core is partially plugged or there is an issue with the blend air door not fully opening.
Do this and let me know what you find. First, confirm the engine coolant is full when the engine is cold.
Next, start the engine and turn the heater on high. Allow the engine to reach operating temperature and then turn it off. Under the hood, locate the two heater hoses at the firewall that attach to the heater core. Feel them. Both should be hot. One could be slightly cooler simply because it is the return, but if there is a big difference, we need to try flushing the heater core.
Also, I need to know if this is a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder. You indicate both above. LOL
