The reason for the repair. The shifter cable bushings needs to be replaced but these cables can’t replace the bushings the whole cable but its no longer available discontinued. In the meantime the grinding of the gears and eventually couldn’t shift into any gear. If you can provide taking apart where the cables are popped off the transmission and the linkage below where the shifter cables are pryed off the housing.

They don't work like that, this is a one time piece that needs to be replaced as a unit, did you try ebay? They will have it. This is how to do the job. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response.

Tried ebay When I look for the part. It says it has it but when it comes down to ordering it it says it doesn’t fit my vehicle. Part has been discontinued.

That’s the one of the two issues one the picture where the cables snap on. The mechanic had take the plate off and he placed a towel over it assuming he took the plate with him to match something. I had mentioned if he was trying to replace just the bushings? Because certains cables can’t just have the bushings replaced. Just like my vehicle its the whole cable. Unless it’s something inside underneath the plate. He had to use torx sockets to get it off.
