I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY TO WORK AND THE CRUISE CONTROL QUIT. I DO NOT KNOW WHY, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS FUNCTIONING AS NORMAL. THERE IS NO REASON FOR A FUSE TO BLOW AND I CHECKED THE FUSES, AND ALL SEEM OK. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL IN THE PAST.

Check fuses 4 & 12 inside car as both work for cruise then have a pro look to see if clock spring inside steering column is working and check brake switch on brake line lowerleft rear of engine compartment as well as switch on pedal. It may be the amplifier not working as well. A test light can see if power is on both sides of brake switches if it is it will knock off the cruise.

Thank you. The fuses check out good. I found the brake switch as told and is connected. I am not sure about the clock spring or where to find the AMPLIFIER? I do know that the left rear brake light were not coming on but have since got them working. Maybe this had something to do with it? Randall

The car will be headed for the pro. Needs front align. When they do this the steer wheel may have to be centered and would be a good time to check the spring at this time. I may post a comment about the solution.
