After my engine has sat for 30 mins to an hour and I restart it it sounds like its going to come apart. The noise lasts long enough for anyone around it to look at it then it stops. The noise never happens when driving or ideling.

Does the make and brand of oil make a difference. Is it my imagination or does it make less noise with Valvoline and more noise with NAPA brand? I haven't paid attention but its been happening for about a year and NOT every time I start it.

What's up?

The viscosity of the oil matters more than the brand. Try having the oil changed with what Lincoln suggests and see if the noise continues, and use a Motorcraft filter as well
